Per g Adapalene 1 mg, benzoyl peroxide 25 mg
Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin film or pea-sized amount into the affected areas of the face &/or trunk once daily after washing w/ mild or soapless cleanser.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if hypersensitivity occurs. Exposure to sunlight should be minimized during treatment. Use sunscreen products & protective apparel (eg, hat). Weather extremes eg, wind or cold may be irritating to patients. Local cutaneous reactions eg, erythema, scaling, dryness & stinging/burning may occur during the 1st 4 wk of treatment. Use a moisturizer & reduce the frequency of application or discontinue use depending upon the severity of side effects. Should not be applied to damaged skin, either broken (cuts or abrasions), eczematous or sunburned. Avoid use of waxing as a depilatory method on treated area of the skin; concomitant use of other potentially irritating topical products (medicated or abrasive soaps & cleansers, soaps & cosmetics w/ strong skin-drying effect & products w/ high conc of alcohol, astringents, spices or limes). Propylene glycol content may cause skin irritation. Contact w/ any coloured material including hair & dyed fabrics may result in bleaching & discoloration. Pregnancy & nursing woman. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Irritative contact dermatitis, skin burning sensation, dry skin, skin irritation, erythema, skin exfoliation (scaling).
Drug Interactions
Cumulative irritancy effect may occur w/ concomitant use of topical acne therapy eg, peeling, desquamating, or abrasive agents.
